Aadi Month 2025 – Significance, Rituals, Festivals

Aadi) is the fourth month in the Tamil calendar, spanning from July 17 to August 16, 2025. It marks the beginning of Dakshinayana Punyakalam, the Sun’s southward journey, and is deeply associated with divine feminine energy, especially Goddess Amman in her many forms.

  • Aadi is considered highly auspicious for worshipping Shakti—Durga, Kali, Mariamman, and Parvati.
  • It’s a time to seek blessings for protection, fertility, prosperity, and emotional healing.
  • The month is also linked to ancestral worship, especially during Aadi Amavasai (July 24, 2025).
