processions throughout September. Devotees can look forward to a spiritually
enriching experience with the following events:
September 2 – Ankurarpanam
The month begins with the auspicious Ankurarpanam, a seed-sowing ritual
that marks the spiritual preparation for the annual Pavitrotsavams.
September 3 to 5 – Pavitrotsavams
Three days of sacred ceremonies dedicated to purification and atonement for any
lapses in temple rituals. These days are considered highly meritorious for
devotees.
September 7 – Lunar Eclipse
In observance of the eclipse, the temple will remain closed from 3:30 PM
onwards, following traditional protocols.
September 12, 19 & 29
(Fridays) – Andal Ammavaru Procession
At 6:00 PM, Sri Andal Ammavaru will be taken in a grand
procession around the four Mada Streets, showering blessings upon devotees with
divine grace and elegance.
September 14 (Rohini
Nakshatram) – Parthasarathi Swamy Procession
At 6:00 PM, Sri Parthasarathi Swamy, accompanied by His consorts Rukmini
and Satyabhama, will bless devotees through a majestic procession around
the temple streets.
September 22 (Uttara
Nakshatram) – Govindarajaswamy Darshan
At 6:00 PM, Sri Govindarajaswamy along with His two divine
consorts will offer darshan to devotees, marking a spiritually significant
evening.
